Civil Process Service Fees
The following rates apply to service of civil summons, complaints, subpoenas, and general court documents throughout Michigan. All service levels include up to three attempts, GPS-documented service logs, and a notarized proof of service delivered electronically within 24 hours.

Family Law Service Fees
Family law matters including divorce complaints, custody motions, personal protection orders (PPOs), and parenting time enforcement orders require specialized handling. Our family law service rates reflect the additional sensitivity and urgency these cases demand.

Payment and Billing
Michigan Process Service LLC accepts payment by check, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), ACH transfer, and law firm trust account. Corporate and law firm clients may apply for net-30 billing terms. Payment is due upon completion of service or after all attempts have been exhausted.
There are no hidden fees. The quoted service fee includes up to three attempts, GPS documentation, and a notarized proof of service or affidavit of non-service. Mileage charges apply only when the service address is more than 30 miles from the assigned server's base location.
No-Service Refund Policy
If Michigan Process Service LLC exhausts diligent attempts and cannot complete service, we refund the base service fee or apply it as a credit toward a skip trace locate or future service order. The notarized affidavit of non-service documenting all attempts is provided at no additional charge and can be used to support a motion for alternative service under MCR 2.105(I).
